'PEKAK' is a campus diversity programme in which opportunities are provided to the young students to develop interest in service to the society especially in Villages. All the first year under graduate students irrespective of their participation in other programmes like NCC, NSS, etc. have to take up service activities,( e.g. arranging medical camps, developing clean environment awareness campaign in adopted villages.) under the guidance of teaching staff of the college and a village coordinator.
Each letter in the word 'PEKAK' stands for a village of the Anbanathapuram Vahaira.
The five villages P for pallavarayanpet E for Enathimangalam K for Karugudi A for Anbanathapuram K for Kanganamputhur
constitue the Anbanathapuram Vahaira reputed for munificence from the hoary past. As a token of our gratitude to the five philanthropic families.
