National Cadet Corps

NCC was started in our college in 1958.At present the college has one senior division NCC company's Army Wing with an authoriaed strength of one company commander and 115 cadets for all training and administration purposes it is affiliated to the 8-Battalion NCC, Kumbakonam

By joining the NCC, a cadet

• gets the unique chance to handle weapons and to fire live ammunitions.
• becomes courageous to meet any situation in life.
• has good opportunity to participate in camps and courses like annual training camps,leaderships courses, rock climbing,trekking,mountaineeringcourses,republic dsy parade in ,para training,cycle expedition,etc.
• can visit other states and countries on delegation at government expended.
• The Cell is trying to get 100% placement for the aspiring students.
• can quality himself additionally by talking 'B' certificate examination at the end of the second year of training and 'C' certificate examination at the end of the third year of training can have an easy entry into police department, army, navy, airforce,etc.
• develops a healthy mind to concentrate on studies.
