Equity of access to higher education calls for efforts to provide opportunities for person with various types of disabilities for inclusion in Higher education system. In this endeavor A.V.C.College (Autonomous) initiated the implementation from 2006. In pursuance of this mission, the enabling cell is established to consolidate and co-ordinate the renowned legacy of this disabled friendly institution.

OBJECTIVES:-

  1. To mainstream the disabled persons providing barrier free access to buildings, equipments, repositories and other resources of this college.

  2. Eligibility:  To extend facilities to disabled persons to avail the benefits of different streams of higher education  

  3. To enhance the competence of differently abled students to equip them to meet academic and career challenges

  4. To engender public sensitization about the challenges, issues, capabilities and rights of person with disabilities

  5. To craft the admission, administration and recruitment policies ensuring equal opportunities for the persons with disabilities

 

Facilities Provided

Fully free education for all the differently abled students pursuing their higher education in the college including food & accommodation

The magnanimous management has sponsored a software named JAS ( Job Access with Speech) . It helps the visual impaired students to read the softcopy of the study materials through computer

Majority of the buildings in the college campus have been made completely accessible for the differently abled through ramp.

This College provides reading cum scribe services, counseling and capacity building

Digital library is also available in this campus.

For the benefit of the visually challenged students, all the reading materials are converted into accessible format with reference to their request.
